Getting started

From creating your account to your first booking.

Five steps, and you decide the pace of every one of them.

What you can offer

More than one way to share what you know.

Offer one service or all of them. Each has its own price, duration and terms.

Help turn projects into clear proof of capability.

Group sessions

Webinars

Live sessions on the skills, tools and market context you know well.

Long-term mentoring

Ongoing support across weeks for a mentee working towards a bigger move.

You stay in control

Mentoring should fit your life, not compete with it.

You decide what you offer, what it costs, when you are available and what each service covers. Nothing is published on your behalf.

Start your profile

Your pricing

You set every price and duration. Fees and totals are shown to mentees before they pay.

Your availability

Mentoring fits around your job, not the other way round. Change your hours whenever you need.

Your scope

You define what each service does and does not cover, along with its cancellation terms.

Your bookings

Requests come to you first. Accept the ones that fit and decline the ones that do not.

Who you will be helping

Mentees arrive having already done the groundwork.

Before anyone books you, they have mapped their target role, had their CV analysed and seen their own skill gaps. You spend the session on judgement and direction rather than on catching up.

Reviewed before publishing

Mentor profiles and services go through an approval workflow before they appear to mentees.

Payments handled by Stripe

Bookings are paid in GBP through Stripe, with payouts via Stripe Connect. Skillbigo never stores your card details.

Clear terms on every service

Each listing carries its own scope and cancellation terms, so expectations are agreed before a session starts.

How much can I charge?

You set your own prices in GBP for every service. Mentees see the duration, price and cancellation terms before they book, and there are no hidden charges added on your behalf.

How and when do I get paid?

Mentees pay when they book. Payments are processed by Stripe and payouts reach you through Stripe Connect, so you never chase an invoice and Skillbigo never handles your card or bank details directly.

How much time does it take?

Entirely up to you. You publish only the hours you want to work, and bookings can only be made inside that availability. Many mentors start with a couple of sessions a month.

Do I need to be a professional coach?

No. Most mentors are working professionals sharing practical, current experience of their field. What matters is that you can help someone make a better-informed decision about their next step.

Is my profile checked before it goes live?

Yes. Mentor profiles and services go through a review and approval workflow before they appear publicly, which keeps quality consistent for mentees.

What am I expected to advise on?

Career direction, skills, portfolios, applications and interviews. Mentoring on Skillbigo is not regulated immigration, legal, financial or medical advice, and you confirm that scope when you publish a service.
