1. Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Browsers also provide local storage and related technologies that can remember information. UK privacy rules apply to both where they store or access information on your device.
2. Essential technologies
Essential technologies support authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, booking flows and your privacy preferences. They are used because the service cannot operate securely or provide a feature you request without them, so they do not require consent under PECR.
The SkillBigo cookie-choice record is stored locally under skillbigo_cookie_consent_v1 and records whether analytics is allowed and when the decision was made. Authentication and payment providers may use additional strictly necessary technologies.
3. Optional analytics
Analytics technologies help measure visits, feature use and performance. They are optional. Google Tag Manager may load on the page so the tag can be verified, but Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied until you actively consent. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the core service.
When you accept analytics, SkillBigo updates Consent Mode to allow analytics storage. Google Tag Manager (NEXT_PUBLIC_GTM_ID, currently GTM-WDH336T6) and/or Google Analytics 4 (NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID, currently G-RZ5PZ5KKCD) may then record page views and selected interaction events such as marketing CTA clicks. IP anonymisation is enabled in the GA4 tag configuration.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with Cookie settings. After withdrawal, Consent Mode is set back to denied and SkillBigo stops sending further analytics storage from this browser; Google may retain previously collected analytics data according to its retention settings.
4. Third-party features
Stripe, Daily, Supabase and other providers may use cookies or storage that are essential to payment, video or sign-in features, including on their own domains. Their notices explain technologies they control. We assess the technologies used in SkillBigo integrations and seek consent where they are not strictly necessary.
5. Change or withdraw your choice
Use Cookie settings at any time to accept or reject optional analytics. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect processing that occurred lawfully beforehand.
You can also delete or block site data through browser settings. Blocking essential technologies may prevent sign-in, security checks, checkout or other requested features from working.
6. Updates and contact
We will update this policy if the technologies, providers, purposes or retention periods change. Contact support@skillbigo.com with questions about a technology or consent record.
